Ask for password on restoring from minimized if ticked, then when you restore (or maximize) your Smart Diary Suite window from the minimized state, you will be prompted for the diary password if one is set.

Ask for password after X minutes of inactivity allows you to lock Smart Diary Suite down when you haven't used it for a specified number of minutes.
